Your labor companion in need is here! We know how long and taxing labor can be on new mothers; our Birthing Ball is here to help.
What is a birthing ball? Well, it is a 65 cm, non-skid ball that mothers can use during labor instead of lying immobile on their backs. Birthing balls are known to speed up or lend a hand in the progression of your labor.
Birthing Ball: A labor essential?
The benefits of a birthing ball are so many that you may get tired of counting! Kidding, we’re still going to tell you about each one of them.
The use of a birthing ball during labor helps prepare the mother’s body by increasing blood flow, opening the pelvic area, and encouraging cervical dilation; all of which speed the process. This can be that distraction you need in the delivery room as it can keep you upright and active and relieve or soften any pain.
How to start labor with a birthing ball?
Yes, ladies! You now have a chance to induce labor if you do your birthing ball exercises right! These are essentially: hip rotations, gentle bouncing, and rocking. Ideally, you should begin these exercises at least a few weeks or months before your delivery due date.
Our Birthing Ball is crafted in high quality materials with thick walls made from professional grade rubber, equipped to handle the most rigorous workouts. The material is non-toxic PVC material, BPA and heavy metal free. We make our birthing balls to be durable and explosion proof; we’re just trying to give mommy and baby the safest experiences!
The ball is extremely versatile and can be used for multiple purposes.
How to use:
Well, you’ll have to inflate it! (you can always get your partner to do it; LOL)
Don’t worry, it will be easy to inflate since our birthing balls include an extra air plug and an air pump so it's going to be a breeze!
As for the exercises, you can hire a professional to get some ideas. It would be a good idea to consult a doctor before you use a birthing ball; it can never hurt to be safe!
Product care:
(Obviously) Keep away from direct sunlight or sharp objects. You can dab it clean with a washcloth if need be. Do not continue use if your ball seems deflated, it could hurt you while in use.
Note: Always consult your midwife or doctor before use.
